The tube where the water runs immediately after the drain hole for a kitchen sink faucet is cracked and needs to be replaced. How do you get this tube to come off?
The copper pipe for the drainage hole is cracked.
Is there a washer thats needs to be unscrewed for the copper drainage pipe to come off? Can anything else besides channel lock pliers be used to take this off? Can this simply be replaced by buying another copper pipe at the hardware store?
I dropped a part of my necklace down the drain by accident. (Yes, stupid, I know) Not the chain, just the decoration bit.
Anyway how would I go about getting it out of the drain? Or do I have to take the whole sink apart?
I can see it the drain if I look down there with a flashlight. So far I have tried using a stick to get it out but that’s not really working. What else could I try to get it out?
It is not magnetic
In this video Bob demonstrates how to use our Sink Drain kit to drill out a glass sink and then use our diamond countersink to ream out the hole for easy fitting of a sink drain. Bob also demonstrates the use of both electroplated diamond drills and sintered diamond core drills in the drill press.
I have a regular bathroom sink drain you could say. The lever doesn’t open or close the drain anymore but I wanted to take the drain completely out so that I could clean the gunk around it including my hair circling it. Please help me in this endeavor. THANKS!
sink drain with breather pipe, tub drain and toilet drain all roughed in and floor is cemented. where should I frame the wall? Sink drain and breather goes from floor to ceiling
There is a clog in the pipes beneath my bathtub. I’ve tried draino, liquid plumber, baking soda and vinegar, and 2 hours of plunging… but there still standing water in the tub and it’s not budging.
I called the landlord to get a plumber out here and the landlord told me that I’d have to pay for it since it’s a clog that I likely caused.
Now the clog isn’t in the water trap of the tub (because when I turn the water on in the sinks, it comes up into the tub) and we have strainers over all the sinks and the tub.
Am I legally obligated to pay for this or is my landlord?
You may have to remove the “pop up valve” in order to clear out your sink drain. “This” has a tendency of getting caught on the tip of the pop up valve…..so then draino would not work to clear out your sink drain. Watch as “joe” gives you some tips on your pop up valve & how to clear out your sink drain. It’s easy to clear out your sink drain by removing your pop up valve….when you “know” how.
