I have ripped out the one piece fibergalss tub surround and have ordered a retrofit swanstone shower floor. I don’t know what to do with the overflow drain from the tub as I assume I won’t need it for a shower. I can move the valve for the shower handle to the correct height BUT can’t find any information on what to do with the overflow. PLEASE HELP!

My daughter clogged the kitchen sink drain/garbage disposal with potato peels. How do I unclog? HELP!!
Currently, water is slightly backed up in both sides of our double sink. I tried to run the garbage disposal which temporarily shifts the water to the opposite sink. Same thing happens when I use a toilet plunger to unclog the sink. (water shifts from one side to another)
What can I do to get the sink unclogged? I’ve got lots of cooking to do for my son’s graduation party this Saturday.

An added note: the disposal is not jammed…it runs just fine but it efforts seem ineffective.
My wife thought that candle wax poured into the sink somehow wouldn’t go down the drain and plug everything up, liquid plumber failed, drano bombed, generic crap was typical, and a wire hanger just made my arm tired. Any chemicals out there that I can buy that will resolve this?
